HELP is a Non-Governmental Organization set up by development workers, social workers and educationists from Ghana and Holland who are challenged by the continuous problems of children in Ghana specifically, and Africa in general.
In Ghana, many a people, especially children; who are the vulnerable, live in poverty. Certain basic infrastructure such as schools, libraries, recreational grounds, etc. that go a long way to enhance the educational and social growth of children in some communities are lacking. This is a contributory factor to streetism of children in Ghana.
The issue of HIV/AIDS pandemic is also an area of concern of HELP. With about 70% of HIV/AIDS cases reported to be in Sub-Saharan Africa, the need to meet this challenge does not rest solely on governments, hence, HELP. HIV/AIDS and reproductive health education are areas HELP is engaged in.
Further, HELP is also concerned with the needs of orphans and the physically challenged in the communities where HELP operates.
In collaboration with some concerned households, individual philanthropists and volunteers both within and outside the country, HELP is committed to achieving its purpose.
