TEACHING Volunteers interested in this program shall teach in either the basic, senior secondary schools. However volunteers are expected to have acquired some knowledge or skill in the field or subject they want to teach. HIV/AIDS SENSITIZATION Those who apply to this program shall be working in selected communities in the central region of Ghana. They will educate pupils, students and communities on dangers associated with the disease and how to live HIV/AIDS free lives. Activities shall include discussions, film shows among others. Volunteers are expected to answer questions from the audience after the show. Volunteers can bring with them educated films on this subject to enhance the quality of this project. ....................................................................................................................................................................................... PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED SCHOOLS & HOMES Volunteers who want to work under this project shall work under the supervision of authorities of these departments and should have some basic knowledge and life of the mentally retarded. .......................................................................................................................................................................................... ORPHANAGE HOME At least volunteers with basic education are welcome since most of these children are in their formative years. Working with these children requires patience and absolute care. |
